Ezekiel Elliott
at the suggested price.

...action with regard to veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Given Elliott's continued decline in performance, the deal they offered the running back in 2019—which was already ,
criticized at the time as being excessive for a running back—had grown even more onerous.
Year every year, more and more people urged the team to deploy Tony Pollard until this past year,
when Pollard earned the position of lead back based on performance.
That essentially secured Elliott's departure from the Cowboys.
Elliott was released by Dallas in the middle of March, and the running back is still looking for a new team.
