Rookie QB Aidan O'Connell Will Wear Derek Carr's 4 Jersey
The Las Vegas Raiders parted ways with quarterback Derek Carr during the NFL offseason,
who essentially holds all of the franchise's passing records. Regarding who will take over as quarterback for the Raiders,
the team signed veteran Jimmy Garoppolo in free agency, but they also added in the 2023
NFL Draft by selecting Purdue's Aidan O'Connell with a fourth-round pick.
O'Connell demonstrated strong college performance while displaying some intriguing qualities,
tossing for 7,202 yards and 50 touchdowns in his final two seasons with the Boilermakers.
But his first significant choice with the Raiders might spark some debate.
According to NFL Fashion Advice on Twitter, the Raiders' rookie quarterback has decided to wear the old number of Carr, 4, on his jersey:
