Queen Camilla's
designer Bruce Oldfield makes surprise coronation gown comment.
The recent design of Queen Camilla's coronation gown by Bruce Oldfield,
who has called it the most significant commission of his life, created history.
The British fashion designer confessed it took "six years of his life"
to construct the masterpiece during a conversation with Monty Don this week at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The coronation ceremony was held at Westminster Abbey on May 6,
and the monarch appeared undoubtedly majestic in the specially created gown and the crimson velvet Robe of State.
"It was a great ask, and it was great fun doing it," the 72-year-old designer said. Six years of my life were enjoyable.
"People called it the capping of my career, but the career is still young," he continued .
