claims why New York Jets terminated him.
Ty Johnson, a former running back for the New York Jets,
claims that the team terminated him the day after he underwent surgery at their recommendation.
Following a year with the Detroit Lions and a one-year extension to stay with the organization through 2023,
the running back, 25, had spent the previous three seasons with the New York Jets.
However, the Jets announced that they would be dismissing Johnson with a "non-football injury" designation just a few weeks into that agreement.
The talented back's dismissal from the team was not further explained,
but the player is now sharing his account of what happened.
Johnson alleged that he tore his pectoral muscle while working out to get ready for forthcoming team camps.
