NFL running back claims Jets dismissed him after surgery and instructed him to get 

Despite signing him to a one-year contract in free agency, 

the New York Jets dismissed running back Ty Johnson in April. According to the veteran, 

the team instructed him to get surgery on an ailment sustained in the offseason.

After checking with the club doctor, Johnson said he tore his pectoral  ...

...muscle while working out in the offseason, and they advised him to "get it fixed."

"I saw the team physician. 'You need to get it fixed,' he added, 

Johnson said in a video on Instagram. "I left the following day. I didn't want to finish it, 

but I did, and I returned satisfied that I had. Wednesday after that, you're out of there.
