Louis Leterrier discusses how he rehired Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot for "Fast X." 

Louis Leterrier drew them back in just as they believed they were out.  

Fast X's epilogue reveals that Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot will both be returning to the Fast and Furious franchise's eleventh installment,  

which will likely hit theaters within the next two to three years. Previously, both actors had put the series in the rearview. 

Both actors haven't helmed a Fast & Furious movie in a while; Gadot's Gisele was killed off in 2013's Fast & Furious 6, 

and Johnson's Luke Hobbs left the franchise following 2017's The Fate of the Furious,

and is now the star of the Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw spinoff.

After the demise of their other film franchise, Gadot and Johnson return to Fast. 

They played Wonder Woman and Black Adam in Zack Snyder's 2013 Superman remake, Man of Steel.
