Lil Uzi Vert Reveals the Release Date for 'The Pink Tape' and Teases New Music in Trailer

Lil Uzi Vert's new album is due out this Friday. The rap sensation announced on Monday that their long-teased LP,

The Pink Tape, will be released on June 30. They also released an action-packed, cinematic trailer that teased some of the film's music.

The video, directed by Gibson Harazar, features a potpourri of tracks from the album's various genres, ranging from trap to heavy metal.

The album artwork, which portrays the rap singer posing in front of a pink American flag, is also teased on their website.

They're also spotted wearing the same altered flag print jacket. The trailer begins with an anime version of themselves being attacked by a villain who removes a $24 million

pink diamond put in their forehead several years ago. (The diamond appears to have extraordinary properties.)

The artist travels a futuristic, Marvel-esque motorcycle to a secret castle, where they fight off a knight with a sword and make their way through the location,

which is decked in hot pink, while they strive to retrieve their stolen pink diamond through a one-sided dance combat.

Olivia Rodrigo has announced the release of her sophomore album 'GUTS' in September.
