Halle Bailey and Fantasia Barrino are featured in the first trailer for "The Color Purple".

On Monday, Halle Bailey and Fantasia Barrino debuted in the first trailer for "The Color Purple," a musical reimagining of the 1985. 

Classic based on Alice Walker's novel. In the trailer, Bailey's young Nettie states, "Dear Celie.

We have more than just kings and queens." We're the center of the universe.

The film marks Barrino's film debut. Barrino plays Celie, her Broadway character from 2007.Bailey,  

Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, H.E.R, Colman Domingo, Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, Corey Hawkins, and.  

Danielle Brooks star in the clip, which features the Broadway musical's hit song "I'm Here."

In the 2015 Broadway revival, Brooks played Sofia with Cynthia Erivo and Jennifer Hudson.
